If there is one word to sum up this session it is... FUN! As soon as I met Nicholas, I knew we were going to have a great session because he was a natural in front of the camera. He wasn't shy or timid in the least and his goal for the evening was to enjoy himself. This was a fantastic shoot for me as well because it was the first time I ventured to the Halifax Waterfront for a session. Although it was an extremely foggy evening, I really felt that added to the ambience of the location. Preschoolers are a favorite of mine because there is so much less pressure on me. I can just run after them and "catch" those silly expressions and gleeful looks along with a precious smile during those quiet moments in between. They really are just fun and spontaneous and I always come home so energized! Nicholas loved the wooden pirate ship and it was a hard task to try and lure him away from it but we discovered that he also enjoys watching the older boys skateboard and puddle jumping! The only photo Nicholas "posed" for was the second one with the boats in the background. He asked me to take his photo by the red boat because it was his favourite colour... how sweet is that! And how could I refuse? Here are a few photos I am sharing for the sneak peek. Take a look at those incredible eyes! They may be the longest eye lashes I have ever seen! Helen and JohnR, I hope you like the photos and I am so excited to share the rest of them with you soon! I had a fabulous time with you and I hope you enjoyed the rest of your vacation.
Now, I could be wrong but I was speaking to Ainslie (Wild Spirit) the other day about the photographers coming to Brisbane and she mentioned a Kerrianne from Canada who was also coming. I was just looking through some blog sites that I have in my favourites and I see Kerrianne and then I see you're from Canada. She did say you took the most amazing baby photos and that's why I put you in my favourites - i do hope this is the Kerrianne she was talking about - fingers crossed! Oh and by the way, I'm a pharmacist too loving photography as a creative outlet.
