I would love to introduce Sam. He is handsome, full spirited, sweet and the smartest 19 month old I have ever met! Our morning started out with Sam being a little shy and unsure of me. Can I really blame him? I am sure it doesn't happen often where a stranger comes over to visit and then brings out the biggest camera he has probably ever seen. It didn't take him long to warm up though. We played stacking blocks together and spelled words with his letters. I think the true turning point was when I let him play with some buttons on my camera. I am thinking he might have a future in photography. He totally impressed me with his ability to recognize and say letters. I held up the letter "Z" and asked him, "Sam, what does Z stand for?" and without missing a beat he replies, "Zebra!". Well, of course, how silly of me not to know that! Do all 19 month olds know this? I really don't think so. I just think Sam is extra special! We ended our morning together in his nursery which I totally fell in love with. It is cozy and full of character. He had an amazing window seat where he got buried in stuffed animals when he was on it. All around his room, you can find special gifts from family and friends. His great grandmother was a poet and there is a beautiful poem above his crib. As well, his grandmother is an artist and she painted the letters on his wall. I love these beautiful and touching accents. Andrea, I really enjoyed meeting you and Sam. I hope you enjoy these photos from our morning together. I can't wait for you to see them all. I am also excited to hear what Sam's Daddy thinks of his Father's Day gift.
